Interregional analysis using a bi-regional input-output matrix for Argentina

This paper presents a regional case study using Bi-Regional Input-Output (BRIO) matrix of Buenos Aires City (BAC) and the Rest Argentina (ROA), constructed from Argentinian matrix. A hybrid approach was applied to obtain BRIO matrix, which combines pure non-survey methods with matrix-balancing like RAS or Cross-Entropy. Once obtained, our has focused on analyzing BAC structure interconnections between regions. We have also estimated national carbon footprint for Argentina, respectively. Results show that service industry sectors play an important role in economy some them strong interregional spillover effects over rest country. In addition, results highest multipliers are ones emissions.
